How much does an ETIAS cost? €20.

The official government fee is €20, paid to the EU. It's free if you're under 18 or over 70. An approved ETIAS is valid for three years of multiple trips — so the real cost is about €7 a year.

Where numbers bigger than €20 come from

Any amount above €20 that a website charges is that company's service fee — it is never the government fee, and it never buys a better or faster decision, because decisions are made solely by the EU. Some services are honest about this split. Many are not: presenting one bundled price is the defining move of the scam operators in this category, precisely because it hides what you're actually paying for.

That standard applies to us too. If we offer a paid document-check when the portal opens, our fee will always be shown separately from the €20, and this page will still say: for most people, applying yourself at the free official portal is the right choice.

One fee, three years

The €20 covers multiple entries for three years, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first. A new passport means a new ETIAS.
