Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 July 2026 · Operated by ECM Enterprises Ltd, Auckland, New Zealand
Who we are
ETIAS Assist is operated by ECM Enterprises Ltd, a company registered in New Zealand ("we", "us"). We are an independent private service. We are not affiliated with the European Union, the European Commission, eu-LISA or Frontex. Contact: ecmenterprisesltd@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
- Waitlist: your email address, your passport country if you selected one, and the time you signed up. Purpose: to send the notifications described on the signup form — one when the EU opens the ETIAS portal, one when ETIAS becomes mandatory — and to understand which nationalities our audience holds.
- Technical: your IP address is used transiently for rate limiting (to stop abuse of the signup form). It is not stored with your waitlist record.
- Analytics: we use two analytics tools. Vercel Web Analytics is cookie-free and aggregates page views. Google Analytics 4 sets a measurement cookie (for example
_ga) — and it loads only if you agree via the consent banner on your first visit. Decline and it never loads; you can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser. Analytics data is processed by Google LLC; we do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
Where your data lives
Our infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), and Google (Google Analytics). Data may be processed in their data-centre regions outside your country, including the United States, Japan and Australia, under their respective data-processing agreements.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- We do not send marketing beyond the notifications you signed up for.
- We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. The only tracking cookie on this site is Google Analytics' measurement cookie, and it is set only with your consent.
How long we keep it
Waitlist records are kept until the notifications have been sent and the launch period has passed, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. Unsubscribed addresses are retained only as a suppression marker so we never email you again.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 — and, where it applies to you, the EU/UK GDPR — you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ecmenterprisesltd@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Every email we send also contains a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately, no questions asked. If you're unsatisfied with our response you may complain to the NZ Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz) or your local data-protection authority.
If we later offer paid services
If you choose to use our paid document-checking service when it opens, we will collect the additional information needed to provide it (such as passport details you submit for checking) under terms and privacy notices presented to you at that time. Nothing you submit to the waitlist today enrols you in that service.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes affecting waitlist members will be noted in the next email we were already going to send you — we won't email you just to announce a policy change.
