Terms of Use

Last updated 12 July 2026 · Operated by ECM Enterprises Ltd, Auckland, New Zealand

The plain-English version. We're a private company, not the EU. Right now the only thing this site offers is a free waitlist. We check facts carefully but the European Commission is the only authoritative source — always verify at travel-europe.europa.eu/etias. We can't issue an ETIAS, can't influence a decision, and don't give immigration advice.

1. Who we are — and who we aren't

ETIAS Assist ("the Site") is operated by ECM Enterprises Ltd, a New Zealand company. We are an independent private service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the European Union, the European Commission, eu-LISA, Frontex, or any government body. The only official ETIAS website is the EU's own portal on the europa.eu domain, where applications (when open) can be made directly, paying only the official government fee.

2. What this site currently offers

At present the Site offers one thing: a free email waitlist. By joining, you ask us to send you a notification when the EU opens the ETIAS application portal and when ETIAS becomes mandatory. The waitlist costs nothing, creates no account, and places no obligation on you. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

3. Clerical service only — no immigration advice

We provide clerical and document-checking services only. We do not provide immigration advice, we do not assess your eligibility, and we do not make recommendations tailored to your individual circumstances. Information on this Site restates publicly available rules published by the relevant authorities. For advice about your situation, contact the authority directly or a licensed immigration adviser in the relevant jurisdiction.

4. Accuracy and verification

We work to keep every fact on this Site accurate and current, and we cite the official source so you can verify it yourself. However, ETIAS rules, fees and dates are set — and changed — by the EU. If anything on this Site conflicts with the European Commission's published information, the Commission's information prevails. Content on this Site is general information, not advice, and you should not make travel decisions based solely on it.

5. No guarantees

Nobody can guarantee that an ETIAS application will be approved, and we never will. Decisions on ETIAS applications rest solely with the EU authorities.

6. Future paid services

If and when we open a paid document-checking service, it will be governed by separate service terms (covering fees, refunds and delivery) presented to you before you pay. Joining the waitlist does not sign you up for, or oblige you to buy, any paid service. Our fee for any future service is a service fee only — it never includes, and is always disclosed separately from, the official government fee, which you would pay directly to the EU.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the Site — including submitting email addresses that aren't yours, attempting to disrupt or overload the service, or scraping personal data.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ECM Enterprises Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this free Site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other consumer law that applies to you and cannot be excluded.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
